This is a post after the story of Battambang, Cambodia.

August, 2016

Before we arrive in Cambodia, we already prepared some projects. One of project that my team and I want to do was visiting Muslim village in Battambang, Cambodia.

Living in Battambang, muslim is a minority. It was hard to find mosque or muslim. I remember when we came to market. Some people there look at us surprisingly because Yudit, Nana and I were wearing Hijab as muslim. Here I realized that we were not only bringing our University name or country name, but also how Islam in front of people in a muslim minority country. The way we speek and behave is very important and crucial.

.

One day in a very early morning, Yudit and I were playing bicycle to visit the symbol of Battambang. We ride bicycle.

pict of cute Yudit.

When we came here, it was a lil crowded. A busy morning where children went to their school, and people went to their work. Some of Cambodian also prayed here.

On our way back to the dorm, we wanna cross the street. Then, there was a girl rising her hand in the back of someone who ride a motorcycle. She smiled like wanna say hello. We felt confused because we didnt know who was she. When she went farther. I realized, Oh my God. She wore Hijab. A muslim just said hello to us. It was so happy to see a friendly muslim in Battambang even it was just a moment.

Already couple days finally we could visit Muslim village. It was about 30 minutes by tuk-tuk from our dorm. On our way we could see a mosque but I couldnt take the picture because we were on the way.

arrived.. Al Haromain Islamic Primary School in Battambang, Cambodia.

After the gate, there is some muslim graves.

.

We got some chances to visit this school day by day. I had a lot conversation with teacher who can speak Malay and English.

Thank you teachers. She was so excited after getting Rupiah.

.

This school was established by Haji Mustafa, but now it's already under the government of Cambodia. There are about 121 students here. The students study in public school in the morning, then in the afternoon they study about Islam, Al-Quran and some other subjects in this school. I am so proud of students here. Even they study without uniform, without a class provided by well fasilities, but they have nice and polite behaviour.

.

I got a chance to share English vocabulary in their class. It was trouble at the first, because I cannt speek in Khmer. So I used song and video. We learnt about part of body. We danced together while sang a song about English vocabulary. It was so fun.

In our last visit, we were inviting to have lunch in a muslim house near a school and a mosque. We could hear adzan of Zuhur. I felt like home.
